BRC Imagination Arts Completes "Experience Design" for Third Major Attraction in as Many Months
release date: June 7, 2005
Revitalized “Images of Singapore” Brings History of Singapore Alive, Opening Follows Closely on the Heels of the Opening of the U.S. Pavilion at World EXPO 2005 and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
Burbank, CA and Sentosa Island, Singapore -- June 7, 2005 -- BRC Imagination Arts, the leading creator of distinctive exhibits and attractions for museums, corporate visitor centers and heritage venues, today celebrated the completion last week of its “experience design” efforts to revitalize the Sentosa Images of Singapore Experience Center on Sentosa Island in Singapore. The Center, now fully operational and open to the public, will mark its official Grand Opening later this summer. Approximately 750,000 visitors are expected in the first year.
The Sentosa Images of Singapore project marks the third major destination designed by BRC in the past three months. In March, BRC’s work in designing the U.S. Pavilion at World EXPO 2005 in Aichi, Japan received accolades by thousands of visitors to the fair, and the company’s “Showmanship Meets Scholarship” design approach to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, Illinois was widely acclaimed at the museum’s opening in April.
"Increasingly, visitors to museums, corporate visitor centers and heritage venues around the world are seeking out localized experiences to gain a greater appreciation for the places they visit. Traditional museums full of artifacts are quickly giving way to immersive experiences that remain true to authentic cultural histories," said Bob Rogers, founder and chairman of BRC Imagination Arts. "Sentosa Images of Singapore taps into the rich history and cultures that have made Singapore a global symbol of hope, while also taking full advantage of Sentosa Island’s stunning scenery and resources.”
The revitalized Sentosa Images of Singapore attractions are comprised of three, unique experience zones that are geared to the entire family:
Warehouse of the Four Winds – BRC’s theme show uses theatrical magic to give guests a powerful and illuminating experience that kicks off their journey through the Singapore Adventure. This attraction guides guests through a fantastic world illustrated by the story of a little girl from Singapore whose grandfather was a founding partner of the Four Winds Trading Company.
Singapore Adventure -- This one-of-a-kind adventure pays homage to Singapore’s heroes and values. History comes to life as guests explore a dynamic series of thirteen interpretive tableaus. The Living Map kicks off the walkthrough with a fascinating, multimedia show that sets the geographic and thematic baseline for the rest of the journey through The Family Album, a heartwarming presentation that serves as an uplifting and inspiring finale.
Singapore Celebrates – This attraction explores the childhood dreams and ancient wisdom of Singapore’s best-loved traditions and holidays, giving international tourists a taste of Singapore’s rich cultural diversity and reminding modern families of the “old stories” that continue to instruct, bring joy and shape us culturally.
