release date: April 19, 2005

BURBANK, Calif. and SPRINGFIELD, Ill.-- (BUSINESS WIRE)

Newest Presidential Museum Combines Showmanship and Scholarship to Immerse Visitors in the Life and Times of Abraham Lincoln

BRC Imagination Arts, the leading creator of distinctive exhibits and attractions for museums, corporate visitor centers and heritage venues, today celebrated the completion of its six-year design effort for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum (www.alplm.org). The Museum will be officially dedicated today in Springfield, Illinois.

Combining impeccable scholarship with brilliant showmanship, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum educates visitors of all ages of the life, times and historical importance of the 16th U.S. president.

Using advanced state-of-the-art technology and special effects techniques borrowed from theme parks, Hollywood, and Broadway, BRC Imagination Arts (www.brcweb.com) designed the museum's interior experience, which features more than 40,000 square feet of immersive experience exhibits, special effects theaters and displays of original artifacts of Lincoln's life and presidency.

"Visitors will be astonished to discover the Lincoln Museum is not filled with the usual static glass cases of memorabilia," said Bob Rogers, founder and chairman of BRC Imagination Arts. "The exhibits and theater presentations are immersive - drawing adults and children into Lincoln's life and presidency by utilizing entertaining methods to tell his story. Lincoln's story deserves the best, most captivating and accurate presentation and our work strived to bring Lincoln alive while thrilling and educating the audience."

Hired in 1998 by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and the Illinois Capital Development Board, BRC Imagination Arts has spent the past six years working with scholars, historians and teachers including some of the world's foremost authorities on Lincoln's life and presidency, plus 40 other organizations, to build the story of Abraham Lincoln from concept to construction to final creation.

Other projects currently underway by BRC Imagination Arts include The Franklin Spirit show in the U.S. Pavilion at World EXPO 2005 in Aichi, Japan, the May 2005 opening of Sentosa Images of Singapore, and the initial production of the re-design of the Empire State Building in New York.
