BRC Imagination Arts Celebrates Bronze Medal For Its "Franklin Spirit" Exhibit At World's Fair 2005release date: October 12, 2005 Burbank, Calif. -- BRC Imagination Arts, one of the world’s leading creators of distinctive experience exhibits for museums, corporate visitor centers and heritage attractions, announced today that its exhibit for the World’s Fair 2005, The Franklin Spirit and the U.S. Pavilion, were recently awarded the Bronze Medal by the Bureau of International Expositions (B.I.E.), the World’s Fair governing body and the equivalent of the International Olympic Committee for World Fairs. “This is extremely unusual,” said Bob Rogers, Executive Producer of the Franklin Spirit and founder of BRC Imagination Arts. “The USA is not a member of the B.I.E. and, in that organization’s politically complex judging, it is rare that they acknowledge a country that is not a B.I.E. member. We are delighted.” Located in the U.S. Pavilion (www.uspavilion.com), which clocked a final visitor count of 2,014,648 visitors throughout the Fair, The Franklin Spirit showcases a mesmerizing multimedia show hosted by U.S. statesman Benjamin Franklin on his 300th birthday. The Franklin Spirit brings Franklin back to life by combining 3D images with high-technology special effects. “The last audience went absolutely wild when it finished and most of the staff was in tears. BRC designed a great show and the U.S. was represented wonderfully in Aichi,” said Doug West, Deputy Commissioner General, Private Sector and manager of the U.S. Pavilion at the 2005 World’s Fair. BRC designed the exhibit using a multi-plane 3D effect that suspends layered planes of digital media on stage, allowing audiences to see Franklin during his visit to the world of 2005. Visitors watched Franklin as he explored the technical, social and agricultural advances that have taken place since the 18th century. Franklin concludes that the 21st century is the most exciting time to be alive as he experiences and discusses the pending advances in science, technology, freedom and enterprise that will improve the lives of people worldwide. The award itself is now in possession of the U.S. Consulate for display at the American Center in Nagoya, Japan.
