ABOUT US

Christian Lachel

As the leader of BRC’s Creative Development team, Christian Lachel partners with our clients in telling timeless stories in new, exciting and environmentally responsible ways. He is one of America’s leading designers for some of the world’s most prestigious museums, brands and cultural institutions.

Christian’s innovative design ideas were the decisive factor in the National Health Museum’s decision to choose BRC. Christian is also leading design teams for the Museum of Liverpool, England, the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, the new Empire State Building guest experience in New York City, and a new visitor center in Niagara Falls that will set a new benchmark for environmental integrity.

In the recent past, Christian has led design teams for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, the Henry Ford, and NASA. All three of these institutions are interested in evolving both the science of story-telling, and the story of science presentation. Christian is a LEED accredited professional, and the driving force behind a Green Task Force that has as its mission the transformation of the museum design industry into a national and world leader in “green” design and operation. He headed up the creative group that produced the first LEED “Gold” certified attraction, for the Ford Rouge Factory Tour.

Christian is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and also a board member of the Society of Environmental & Graphic Design where he is an active participate in the professional education committee and leads the organization on a new sustainable design direction. He teaches courses in Experience and Environmental Design at the Art Center College of Design.
