ABOUT US |
From Sinbad to Spiderman to SpongeBob SquarePants, Erik Neergaard has designed a host of entertaining and compelling attractions, themed venues and brand experiences all over the world. Erik excels at comprehensive design. No matter how blank the canvas, Erik can see the entire attraction. As an Experience Design Lead for BRC’s Creative Development Group, Erik designed the Torrena Tower guest experience in Guadalajara, Mexico, the Tiger Beer Brewery Tour in Singapore and the new Sears Tower visitor experience in Chicago. Erik has also contributed to the design of the Museum of Liverpool and is leading the design of the Heineken Experience. Erik was one of the designers for the film-inspired attraction that many consider the greatest ever built – "The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman," the astonishing motion-based-simulator combining 3-D film with sets, ride tracks and special effects. Erik was also Show Designer for The Beatles Yellow Submarine Adventure (based on the film) in Berlin and Tokyo. In addition, Erik has created distinctive themed environments for Gameworks and helped create several memorable attractions for Paramount Parks. Erik’s designs have also soared at the McClellan Aviation Museum, Sacramento, California, and reached new heights in "The Legends of Sinbad" for the Magic World theme park, Dubai, and Entertainment City, Doha, U.A.E. Erik has enlightened and entertained young visitors at the Kohl’s Children’s Museum, Chicago, Illinois and “Kid’s Dig It: Explore The World” traveling exhibit and Ocean Park in Hong Kong. Erik graduated with honors from The College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, New Mexico, earning a BFA in Technical Theater in Scenic Design and Stage Management with a minor in Film Direction.
