ABOUT US |
Rich Procter calls himself a “polymathic autodidact” which, very loosely translated, means someone who knows something about many, many things, and is interested in practically everything. At BRC, Rich contributed to several of the shows in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, a particular point of pride since Rich’s great-great grandfather, Addison G. Procter was the youngest delegate at the 1860 “Wigwam” Convention that nominated Mr. Lincoln. Before coming to BRC, Rich was an award-winning Creative Director (11 Clios) for the advertising agency “Bert, Barz and Kirby”, a prime-time morning comedy disc jockey in San Francisco, a member of the fabled “Groundlings” Improv group, the entertainment reporter for a Los Angeles television station, an Imagineer for the Walt Disney Company, and the writer/producer of more than a hundred hours of television for the Discovery Channel, TLC, the A&E Network, and PBS. He can still be heard as the Narrator on the National Geographic television show, “Totally Wild!” His most recent writing duties at BRC include the creative development plans for the Empire State Building, Louisiana’s Old State Capitol, the National Health Museum, Virginia State Capitol, Louisiana State Capitol and the Sears Tower guest experience. Rich remains two credits away from his MFA at UCLA Film School, as he has been since 1974. He still holds out hope, though.
