BRC Writer Lives MLB Dream-- Thank You, Milwaukee Brewers!

It’s been a looooooong time coming, but a certain Senior Writer at BRC Imagination Arts – that would be me, Rich Procter – is going to realize a childhood dream on May 28 when our Bud Selig Experience opens at Miller Park, home of the major league Milwaukee Brewers.

I’ve loved baseball since I was a kid rooting for the Koufax-Drysdale-Maury Wills Dodgers of the 60’s. So I was thrilled when the Milwaukee Brewers called BRC and told us they wanted to celebrate the life and career of Bud Selig, the Man Who Saved Milwaukee Baseball! MILWAUKEE! One of the greatest baseball cities in America! I’m pretty sure you can tell how I feel about this: HAPPY!

(That was Brewers announcing legend – and narrator of our show – Bob Uecker playing the trumpet.)

Milwaukee is a city with a proud history of minor league ball…

…with a team in the “League of Their Own” All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (1944)…

…and, of course home of the legendary 1957 World Champion Milwaukee Braves, featuring all-time great Hammerin’ Hank Aaron!

….and now the Milwaukee Brewers, home of perennial All-Star, Hall of Famer and legend Robin Yount!

The only question was – to put this in baseball terms – could we hit a home run for Bud and the Brewers? I’m talkin’ about a serious A-bomb…a titanic‘tater…an upper-deck moon shot…a no-doubter, walk-off WALLOP, Hasta La Vista Baby!

I guess we’ll know soon! Watch this space for more about what we did, how we did it, who we did it for and how much fun we had doing it!
