BRC Imagination Arts Helps Bring Wiggli to Life as Official Mascot of Expo 2031 Minnesota

Expo 2031 Minnesota USA has introduced its official mascot: Wiggli, a scout honey bee created in collaboration with BRC Imagination Arts and biodiversity intelligence company HiveTracks.
Launched on World Bee Day, May 20, 2026, Wiggli embodies the expo’s theme, Human / Nature: Where Humanity and Horticulture Meet. As a scout bee whose natural role is to explore the world and return with discoveries to share, Wiggli is designed to carry the Expo 2031 story to audiences across America and around the world long before the gates open in Minnesota in 2031.
Christian Lachel, Chief Creative Officer of BRC Imagination Arts, described the ambition behind the character: the greatest mascots make you part of the story, and Wiggli is built to do exactly that, flying alongside visitors at the expo and across every community that welcomes her in the years ahead.
Wiggli’s arrival marks the beginning of a five-year engagement program. The five-region American Tour launches in spring 2027, with each stop reflecting one of the expo’s climate zones and horticultural pavilions. The broader program spans digital platforms, family activities, classroom and library partnerships, and on-the-ground appearances at festivals, gardens, and community events.
Expo 2031 Minnesota will be the first A1 International Horticultural Exposition ever held in the United States, and is expected to welcome millions of visitors from across the country and the world.
